The NVT Phybridge FLEX8 long-range plug-and-play PoE switch is a versatile, high-performance solution that is also suitable for businesses. It has eight downlink ports that provide fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps full duplex, balanced) and PoE++ (50 W per port) over multi-pair UTP cables for up to six times the distance of traditional PoE switches. The FLEX8 switch has two 1 Gbit uplink ports for daisy chain deployments. Standard features include a 190W external power supply and a mounting kit for wall or rack mounting.

Speed, reach and performance
The FLEX8 switch uses new or existing 1, 2 or 4-pair UTP cables. It can be operated in standard PoE mode (without adapter) up to 100m or in Long Reach Ethernet mode (with adapter) up to 610m including PoE. The FLEX8 switch automatically detects the data transmission rate and can therefore be configured for maximum bandwidth and transmission distance. a switch can be used to force a bandwidth of 10Mb if this is necessary to establish a connection.
