The Paxton10 door controllers are the building blocks of the Paxton10 system. Each is used to control a single door and has a port to connect up to three Paxton10 Connectors for even more functionality. A Paxton10 system can include up to 1000 door controllers.
The Paxton10 door controller is a network device that communicates via TCP/IP and can be integrated into an existing network infrastructure.
The controller has four inputs, tamper protection, 230 V failure protection, door contact and RTE.
an intrusion detector can also be integrated via the Paxton10 alarm connector (010-203).
Also available with the Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) power supply option and only as an assembly (PCB).
Installation
The wiring label on the Paxton10 door controller clearly shows the color-coded connections for reader, power supply, lock, etc. The 12 volt output for the lock can be used to control any type of door, barrier or gate. Diagnostic LEDs indicate the status of the controller and its inputs and outputs.
The controllers are connected directly to the network via TCP/IP. They then appear automatically in the Paxton10 software under the "Devices" menu item.
Operation
All changes made in the Paxton10 software are immediately transmitted to the door controller. When a user holds their transponder up to the reader, the control unit identifies the user and activates or blocks access accordingly.
