The energy-saving reader can be used with Switch2 or Net2 systems. The cover can hold a user's PROXIMITY card. The reader is used to ensure that electrical devices can only be switched on when an authorized user's card is inserted in the cover. When used with Net2, the reader supports different formats and can be used with a range of transponders, including Mifare and EM4100.
Installation
The reader is wired according to the label on the door control unit. The cable is centered at the back for easy installation. The relays of the Net2 or Switch2 door control units are used to provide a potential-free output in toggle mode. If 230 V voltages are to be switched, a corresponding relay should also be used.
Operation
A PROXIMITY card is inserted into the cover of the reader. It toggles a relay which allows connected devices to be switched on. When the card is removed, the relay switches over and the devices are switched off.
