AJAX vhfBridge: immediate alarm delivery without internet access
The vhfBridge transponder offers the hub an additional communication channel with the control center via VHF radio waves. This means that the Ajax security system can also be installed in locations with an unstable or non-existent internet connection, e.g. in mountains, nature reserves or desert regions.
Alarms and system events are transmitted over tens of kilometers in a fraction of a second1. vhfBridge can be used as a primary or secondary communication channel.
Sophisticated autonomy
A backup battery with up to 7 Ah can be inserted in the vhfBridge housing, which can be used to supply a VHF radio transmitter with up to 2 A. This eliminates the need to equip the transmitter with a battery. It also reduces the frequency of maintenance work.
In the event of a power failure on site, the transmitter and transponder can operate for up to 75 hours4 with a backup battery and continue to transmit events to the control center.
Configurable signal transmission
Receive only the events you want. Each vhfBridge output can be configured in the Ajax app: create an event or turn it off.
Uncompromising communication security
The vhfBridge communicates with the hub via the encrypted Jeweller radio protocol. This ensures smooth communication between all security devices. The radio protocol uses polling intervals to synchronize the communication sessions of the devices, ensures authentication to protect against forgery and integrates encryption to protect against data theft.
