The AJAX DoorProtect consists of the two modules detector and magnet. The detector contains high-quality reed switches produced in Great Britain as the sensor element on which the magnetic field acts. If the window or door is moved, the switch detects the change in the magnetic field and sends a signal to the AJAX Hub. When the residents return home, they can deactivate the protection mechanism with a single click. Thanks to its simple, timeless design in white and black, the AJAX DoorProtect blends harmoniously into door and window frames of any material and design.

The pre-installed battery with a service life of up to seven years allows immediate installation without having to take the AJAX DoorProtect apart first. Simply place the opening detector in the SmartBracket holder, connect it to the AJAX alarm panel with just one click and the AJAX DoorProtect is ready for use. Magnets in various sizes are included to mount the opening detector on narrow door and window frames. The AJAX DoorProtect is not only compatible with the extended version of the AJAX opening detector, the DoorProtect Plus, but also with third-party detectors: An external contact for their connection is provided on the device.
