2010-2-PAK-900 - Activation key for 900 Series protocol
The 2010-2-PAK-900 is a USB dongle that has been specially developed to extend the functions of your fire alarm system. By using this PAK (Panel Activation Key), the 900 Series protocol is activated in the fire alarm panel. The PAK is compatible with panel firmware 3.1 or higher and enables a variety of additional high-end functions.
Functionality and application
The fire alarm system can extend its capabilities through the use of USB dongles. These PAKs (Panel Activation Keys) activate additional functions in the panel. Depending on the required functionality, separate and multiple PAKs can be used to activate these functions. Functions such as the number of nodes/loops, supported detector protocols, TCP/IP communication protocols used for remote monitoring and communication with management software such as BACNet or Modbus can be activated by using the PAKs. The PAK is linked to the serial number of the panel, but does not have to remain permanently connected. It can be removed as soon as the function is activated in the panel. However, it is recommended to always keep the PAKs with the panel, for example for reset functions or new installations.
